FrSky TWIN TW GR6 Receiver
The FrSky TW GR6 combines FrSky’s advanced TWIN protocol with an integrated high-precision variometer in a compact, lightweight 6-channel receiver. Designed for gliders, racing aircraft, and other models where receiver size and weight matter, the TW GR6 provides reliable dual-band 2.4GHz control along with accurate altitude and vertical-speed telemetry.
Unlike traditional backup receiver systems, the TWIN active-active protocol operates both 2.4GHz frequency bands simultaneously. Both links remain active throughout the flight instead of waiting for one signal path to fail before switching to another, helping provide improved signal stability, resilience, and long-range performance.
The TW GR6 provides 6 PWM output channels, SBUS Out, FBUS/S.Port telemetry, and an inverted S.Port connection for convenient integration with compatible flight controllers. When configured for FBUS in ETHOS, control signals and telemetry can be carried through a single wire with compatible FBUS devices, reducing wiring and simplifying aircraft installation.
An integrated high-precision variometer provides altitude and vertical-speed telemetry without requiring a separate sensor. The receiver also supports FrSky’s 4ms Race Mode with telemetry for applications requiring fast response and low latency.
Compatibility Note
The TW GR6 is compatible with FrSky TWIN Series radios and RF modules operating in TW mode. This includes the FrSky TWIN X14, TWIN X14S, and other TWIN Series transmitters that support the TW protocol. It is not a Tandem TD receiver and should be used with TWIN/TW-compatible systems.
